Deserted Island

Posted in School on January 6, 2009 by jeabers

Great Willows of our earth, why do you weep?

You shade the weary.

Bring splendor to the land.

Declaring your perimeter.

But still you seem gloomy.

Do no nests fit into your droopy grooves?

Do no children sway from your weak branches?

Do you hate being exclaimed a weed,

being measured to a dull dandelion?

However still we plant you.

Still enjoy your glossy green leaves.

Still sleep in slippery grass underside.

Laying beneath.

Sun rays sneak past defenseless leaves.

To join with us.

Under a bubble of branches and green.

But we use you.

No place for your own nature.

To nurture, utilize your own bark.

Unearth nourishment naturally.

But I shall be the one.

To leave you on an island.

To watch over the seas.

Then back down on me.

Little girl being fooled, used like a toy.

Story of her life, toppled by piles of heavy snow.

White spaces fill the thoughts, her importance coming to little.

Mermaid her passion ‘til she fell into the jungle.

Book after book, developing as a fighter, like Peter.

Pan and her Labyrinth taught of truth while she’s sleeping.

Beauty dominates fear, wealthy army, same as the emperor’s.

New groove is better now, senses equal of a bug’s.

Life as she knows, free and strong, feeling like a lion.

King of her own, it’s all we can ask, because life’s like a movie looking into the past.

Thankful

In the name of Father, as the one who helped us into this journey,

The conspirator of life, shows us the way through the tunnel,

The light’s in His hands.

As we follow through the dim, our risks and adventures are shared and protected.

Thankful we are and dignity returned.

And of the Son, the one who we mirror. Live out the message and voyage on.

The friend by your side to counsel and relieve.

Follow, but learn to lead.

As we go hand in hand, never looking back, together forever and always right.

Thankful we are and dignity returned.

And of the Holy Spirit. Only alive inside, to be the angel on our shoulder.

Be able to choose among dark and light.

The shadow we seek and the feet we focus.

As we are bonded spiritually, one body, mentally strong, with judgments exact.

Thankful we are and dignity returned.

God you are our Father of life and prosperity.

Douse us in love and understanding so that we may receive the rightful position next to your throne. Give wisdom to all to judge with our hearts and not with our minds.

Thankful we are O God, and dignity returned.

Something Sweet

Posted in School on August 22, 2008 by jeabers

As the day wound down to a sluggish pulse, Christian Freeman swaggered into the noisy bar. His black shades swiftly being taken off his chiseled face by the lady in red. Her soft fingers brush off the side of his roughly shaved cheeks. The clash of Christian’s Brut clashing with her Channel seems to bring an aroma of passion.

“You’re late Freezy,” she said in a alluring voice. Christian smiled with an uncaring look and walked over to their table. The water had already been served to his table as the girl had been waiting. They both sat at the small round table across from each other, both looking eagerly to leave. The woman’s eyes glistening off of Christian’s smile. The bar becomes silent to them and time appears to move slowly.

“How long have we been together Christian?” said the woman.

“I’m not exactly sure,” said Christian sarcastically, as he still stares into his woman’s eyes.

Not seeing the sarcasm the woman exclaimed, “Almost two and a half years,” as she is not trying to be lured in by his quiet smile.

Christian looks at his watch, “Two years, five months, twenty-six days, seven hours and about nineteen minutes.”

“And not once have you even tried to kiss me.”

“Was there a rule that I have to?”

“Well, no but that’s what people do when they like each other.”

“Who said that I liked you? Have I ever said that I liked you?”

            “I’m not exactly sure…”

“What was the first thing I said to you two years, five months, twenty-six days, seven hours and twenty minutes ago?”

            “I think I love you…”

Christian paused, “Yes,” he paused again and starred, “and it took me two years, five months, twenty-six days, seven hours and twenty minutes to figure out that I do love you.”

All the woman could do was put her white hands on over her mouth and blush. Christian was still starring into her eyes and seeing total bliss. The woman could barely talk with her watery eyes, “I’ve been waiting eleven years for someone to say that to me and I’m glad it’s you.”

“Do you want to go and get something sweet?”

Summer Sang in Me

Posted in School on August 22, 2008 by jeabers

Summer was the time for excitement. The time when the world rejoiced because they knew nothing had to be done. Choosing to relax in comfort or relax in your own way. Run when you want to, scream, play, or be lazy whenever you can. The sports are for fun. Competition is fierce but you never feel afraid of losing.

This is the only time something is taken seriously but actually never matters. For a kid summer can be his best friend. The same emotions, feelings, and reactions can be applied as if summer were a person. Sadness, excitement, anger, and love can all be seen in the summer days. When your friends are angry, yourself can become angry. When summer is infuriated and storming you can be tempered as well. The summer moon can look sad and cold but the sun is there to show the love of the universe, to shine and bring the orange glow to the moon’s surface. Summer sang in me on this night. The glorious tune of love swiftly traveled across the earth’s surface to everyone else felt the connection of the universe. To everyone that realized that love should never be taken for granted and there will always be someone or something looking out for you.

Friends and family become closer and time that is spent together is cherished and remembered. The memories made during this time are forever locked in your mind. Family comes home to stay. The surrounding of your loved ones brings joy and smiles to everyone’s face. Past memories are remembered and shared while new ones are revealed and kept. Your friends are the most important. A summer without them would be horrible. Your friends keep you alive and going. Whether it is going over to their house to chill and play video games or playing active sports but still having the same amount of fun. But making new friends can be even greater. From the ones you love can come an attachment of them. Brothers. Together we all become one happy quartet. Riding bikes through neighborhood and being reckless. Movies in the basement are relaxed and comical. I become part of their family. When I’m with them I know I am and when I’m away I sense as though I am. That is how true friends should make you feel. Friends should always be by your side to be there to cherish and hold every moment with you.

Summer makes your friends what they truly are and brings the best out of everyone. To describe summer you would need a novel. Summer cannot be described as something that will last forever but as something that will be missed and enchanted when it comes about.
